Philosophy:
We wrote World Web Windows, Cloud Cover and the World Web Windows IDE because we were interested in working in a completely secure, portable environment which contained all of our Office and Entertainments tools, with easy access to our “cloud”. With this goal in mind we discovered what we had always believed. That the Internet is like a skyscraper built on a one-story house. It was created to support the exchange of simple text documents and has exploded into a place where we expect the exchange of top-notch information at the Hollywood entertainment level, with little or no delay. Like television, only much better. So we proceeded to build a new foundation which is parallel and all inclusive of the existing Internet, but in a way that the Internet should have been built in the first place. So it is that we built World Web Windows, the granite foundation upon which Cloud Cover sits.

Think of World Web Windows and Cloud Cover as a secure kingdom unto itself which has full access to the world outside of it, when it wishes. The applications written for Cloud Cover are a completely new generation of application. You use the Cloud Cover browser, the Webcube, to browse to the application. That application is loaded as a very small, very powerful web page. Once it's loaded, it's as robust and full-featured as a desktop application and you can use it with or without an Internet connection. So you get the best of both worlds: a desktop application you access like a cloud application.

Even though we wanted to build the Internet the way it should have been built in the first place, we also know that if the new generation Internet doesn't incorporate the existing Internet and everything that's already been built and created within it, there will be little incentive for people to use it. We think we have been successful in attaining our goal. But don't take our word for it. Cloud Cover itself is free. Try it for yourself.

We also have a full-featured, portable development system, the World Web Windows IDE (Integrated Development Environment), with which you can create your own Cloud Cover web sites and applications. Keep in mind that the web sites work outside of Cloud Cover. If a user browses to these Cloud Cover web sites with a standard browser, they will see a site with standard web components. So you lose nothing and gain a powerful universe, parallel to the existing Internet.

History of Our Company.
Most of our development was done by a couple of U.S. expatriates in the Mexican desert of San Felipe using solar power and satellites for communication. We have also relied on our components developers from all over the world, making World Web Windows and Cloud Cover a truly international endeavor. We are long time veterans of the software industry having worked for successful high technology companies in the past. The average age of our team is 56 years old. We are completely debt free. There is no venture capital money behind us and we have poured our life savings, as well as our blood, sweat and tears, into this project.
